About the roleYou will be expected to triage, resolve, or escalate support calls within agreed timescales. You will assist with the deployment, removal and basic maintenance and support of all technology equipment supported by the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Department across all University spaces.
The role includes providing 2nd and 3rd line support for the use of all Audio-Visual equipment, software, and services supported by the LET Team, as well as project work in building and renovating new spaces across the University buildings. Additionally, this role will be involved with planning and implementing the technical requirements of the Universitys large corporate events and presentations.
Furthermore, this role will offer consultation and guidance in the selection, purchase, and installation of Audio-Visual equipment, software, and solutions.
The role also encompasses the provision, maintenance, and support of the Innovations Lab, including training for staff and testing to resolve issues and meet new requirements.
This role is offered on a full-time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
About youThis is an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals with a background in AV, Events or Learning Technology support and service delivery to join our Support Service within the University of Bath. The University is currently changing the way its support service is provided, and the demand for learning technology and event technology is growing.
As part of a dedicated LET team, you will be responsible for the provision of excellent support services to staff, students and events customers. The role will involve substantial contact with an array of audio-visual equipment, learning technologies and technology systems built into the facilities on campus. A background in configuration of Extron or Crestron equipment would be preferred, but experience with Dante, HDbaseT, QSYS, DMX, or AutoCAD would also be helpful.
You will be highly self-motivated, able to work alone and in a team, and have excellent interpersonal skills. There is a quantity of industry-recognised training available for the right candidate and an extensive development programme all staff are expected to undertake.
